Students Today, Teachers Tomorrow

By Murdock Middle School Ms. Carboni's Class

Charlotte County Public Schools•Port Charlotte,Florida•US

Our technology classes at Murdock Middle School strive to give back to the community, while reinforcing technology literacy skills. Students worked in teams and created videos to teach a skill that they shared with their community. The students' names will appear in the video as there are hundreds to list since we had approximately 65 teams participating.

Challenge

Teach what you have learned

Overview

Students presented their media asset to teach a skill they have learned to share with their community. They created their media using iLife software and decided on the presentation format of their asset. Teams presented unique projects, had similar experiences, and learned various techniques and strategies. Also, some deployed their projects using websites, similar to the one highlighted in the solution video, which will be used as a springboard for our school's anti-bullying campaign.

I just want to thank all those involved in making this opportunity possible for the students of Murdock Middle School. We will be using this model again for our current school year to 'change' the world!
